  • Overview of computer history and evolution

  • Understanding different types and forms of computers

  • Basic computer components: hardware vs. software

  • Computer accessories, input and output devices

  • Care and maintenance basics for computers

 

Operating Systems

  • Introduction to operating systems (focus on Windows)

  • Navigating the desktop and taskbar

  • Using the start menu and search functions

  • Basic file management: creating, saving, and organizing files

  • Cloud storage

 

Microsoft Word

  • Introduction to word processing software

  • Creating, formatting, and editing documents

  • Using templates and styles

  • Basic text formatting: fonts, sizes, and colours

  • Saving, printing, and sharing documents

 

Microsoft Excel

  • Introduction to spreadsheet software

  • Understanding the Excel interface: cells, rows, and columns

  • Basic data entry and formatting

  • Introduction to formulas and functions

  • Creating simple charts and graphs

 

PowerPoint

  • Introduction to presentation software

  • Creating a basic presentation

  • Using themes and templates

  • Adding text, images, and multimedia

  • Basic presentation techniques

 

Internet Basics

  • Understanding web browsers and search engines

  • Navigating websites and using hyperlinks

  • Basic online searches and research

  • Evaluating the credibility of online sources

 

Digital Communication

Cybersecurity Fundamentals

  • Understanding online privacy and security
